Dr Clarence Tan was selected to attend the prestigious Singularity University @ NASA Ames Research Centre in Silicon Valley, where he was able to turn an idea into the reality of using exponential technologies to impact 10 billion people positively. Tan was the team leader for a project in the field of security that is using crowd sourcing technologies to shine a light on corruption.
Clarence is visiting UQ to speak about his SU experience, the meetings with luminaries like Steve Wozniak, Chris Anderson etc and the various site visits including Google, Facebook, Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, NASA, etc. But more importantly, Clarence will talk about the the most recent technological innovations, and how they can have an exponential impact on society.
Entries to Attend Singularity University have opened. With the prize of attending Singularity University’s (SU) Graduate Studies Program, SU holds competitions around the world to identify outstanding students and promote entrepreneurship that will positively impact regions around the world.
